Better and Better: Beautiful Colorado.

When I crested the summit at Monarch Pass, which is the Continental Divide, I literally got choked up at how beautiful the view of the Rockies there is. Behold His mighty hand!

Utah was beautiful, but damned hot down in the canyon, and I was happy to reach the Colorado line and cooler weather.

That's me, the old biker man at the Continental Divide.

This is the view one gets when cresting the summit at Monarch Pass...it took my breath away.

The Arkansas River winds its way through Colorado.

Eventually I found my way to the little town of La Junta, a railroad town near the Kansas border. They have the mileage all figured out there. This is painted on the side of a building downtown. I've got more miles on this trip than both directions put together!
