Goodbye LA - Hello Pacific Coast Highway


After a sweet break with dear friends from my teen years (OLD friends, that is), it was goodbye to Los Angeles and onward just after dawn to California Highway 1, the Pacific Coast Highway. We missed most of the early morning LA traffic and jumped on the PCH at Santa Monica, where I got this shot of their iconic neon sign at the city fishing pier.

Malibu Beach. Home to the rich and famous. But the only movie star type I saw was when I looked in my mirror. At least all the folks here got to see me.

Entered the seaside village of Cambria around 3 pm our time. Tomorrow it's up and at 'em again as we roar upstate towards San Francisco!
