San Antonio

The Alamo in San Antonio. Such a small place, right in the middle of downtown. One could walk right past it if one weren't looking closely enough for it. For all the valor expended here by Travis, Bowie, Crockett and about 200 other brave souls, I feel for some reason it should be bigger to match the size of their bravery. They held off 1,800 Mexicans for 13 days and killed or wounded damn near half of them before being martyred for Texas.

And San Antonio's beautiful River Walk. It's an oasis from the Texas heat...and after having come halfway across America on a motorcycle, I needed a break.
