My Route
Across the USA (and back!) on a Motorcycle
Savannah to Mobile
After wetting the toes of my boots in the Atlantic surf at Tybee Beach, I'll be leaving my home in beautiful, historic Savannah, Georgia headed west through Valdosta and on to Mobile, Alabama.

Mobile to Houston
Onward to the bayou country as I leave Mobile and head for New Orleans, and hopefully a lunch of fresh grilled oysters and cold beer before continuing further west to Houston.

Houston, Austin, San Antonio
After two long day's ride, today is a fairly short day with breakfast in Houston, lunch in Austin, and dinner in San Antonio. Remember the Alamo!

San Antonio to El Paso
Another long day in the saddle from San Antonio to down in the west Texas town of El Paso...
Sounds a little bit like an old Marty Robbins cowboy song.

El Paso to Tombstone, Tuscon, and Gila Bend
Across the desert to Tombstone, where the Earp brothers and a dentist from Valdosta, Georgia shot it out with the Clanton gang at the OK Corral. Then it's on to Tuscon and Gila Bend.

Gila Bend to San Diego
After roughly 2,400 miles, I get to dip the toes of my boots in the Pacific at Coronado Beach,in San Diego, California.

San Diego to Los Angeles
After visiting San Diego, I head up the coast a bit to the City of Angels, Los Angeles. It ain't no disco. It ain't no country club, either. This is L.A. (All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die)!

LA to Cambria
Time to leave the big city of L.A. and head north along the Pacific Coast along California's famous Highway 1 through Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Pismo Beach to the little seaside town of Cambria.

Cambria to San Francisco
On day two of the trip up the Pacific Coast Highway, it's on to the Golden Gate and San Francisco.

San Francisco to Reno
After a couple of days in the Golden Gate City it's time to begin the return trip, through Reno, Nevada...The Biggest Little City in the World.

Reno to Ely, NV
After hopefully not losing my shirt in Reno, it's straight across Nevada via US RT 50 to Ely and the Great Basin National Park.

Ely, NV to Cisco, UT
US 50, "The Loneliest Road" continues across Utah and takes me to my next stop, the Arches National Park, near the town of Cisco.

Grand Junction, Gunnison, Crested Butte, and Pueblo, Colorado
Through the Rockies on US 50 as it crosses Colorado. Royal Gorge, Pike's Peak, and onward towards Bent's Old Fort.

Dodge City, Wichita, and Kansas City
I ride the Santa Fe Trail across Kansas...and hopefully to some good barbecue!

Across Missouri to Saint Louis
A day's ride across Missouri brings me to the mighty Mississippi and the city of Saint Louis...and a sharp right turn south towards home.

Saint Louis to Memphis
A short day in the saddle as I head south along the banks of Ol' Muddy towards the home of the Blues, Memphis, TN.

Memphis to Columbus, Georgia
It's back to God's country as I cross back into Georgia at Columbus, home of the Infantry..."Follow me!"

Columbus to Savannah
A four hour ride across the empire State of the South...and home. Mission Accomplished. ...God willing.
